Basictech LED Has Reduced Wind Load

Basictech was the first of many LED display makers that we met at the show. The company is based in Korea and also has an office in Japan. It has been in the business for twenty years, although we do not seem to have reported on the company. The company has a manufacturing business, but also operates a rental business and can offer complete services including content development and presentation. It also creates and implements installed LED systems and it has its own controllers. It also distributes control systems, so has a very wide range of capability.

At the event, it was highlighting its outdoor LED systems, using the name ‘WindFree’ which have a diagonal louvre system which is designed to allow wind to pass through, reducing the wind loading, but offering a black background to optimise contrast. The LEDs used are ‘black type’ and produce up to 5,000 cd/m². The modules are 750mm x 750mm.
