What They Say
We reported last week on an upgrade to Barco’s MVL-721 and commented that there were two kinds of front screen, but that we couldn’t find out what they were. (Barco Updates RPCs) Thanks to Barco for coming back to clarify that they are:
- WV-FEL: Wide View Front Element Lenticular
- FXS: Front Cross Prism Screen
Barco told us that the supplier is DNP and gave us this link to more information on the lenticular screen. The Cross prism is said to be very tolerant of ambient light and has a non-glare hard coat surface.
What We Think
We were surprised to be pointed to a component supplier, but happy to get clarification. (BR)
