The Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia opens its doors this week, as the city’s home team, the Atlanta Falcons, play their first game underneath Daktronics’ “Halo”, claimed to be the largest non-transparent LED display in the world.
The Halo is just one—albeit the biggest—element of Daktronics’ digital hand-print on the new stadium, with the company’s Mega Column and Feather Wall displays also implemented to benefit the experience for attendees.
The Halo is a 360º display installed just below the roof of the stadium. It covers 62,000 square feet (3,000 m²) and has more than 37 million LEDs.
Meanwhile, the Mega Column stretches 101 feet up from the first concourse level to the roof of the stadium.
