US companies have over 110 million field professionals who need an efficient mobile computing solution to make hands-on work easier and safer. “The use of augmented reality smartglasses in the enterprise has become a critical component for supporting and streamlining key activities of these ‘deskless professionals’, such as field engineers, doctors, first responders, and industrial technicians,” said Pete Jameson, COO of ODG. “The AiR Suite’s highly collaborative and interactive platform makes it easy to access critical task-specific information without interrupting workflow.”
As the new computing category of smartglasses continues to show even faster enterprise adoption, small and large companies alike are undertaking more advanced engagements to explore how best to use augmented reality, telepresence, and workflows in different value chains. With the Atheer AiR Suite and ODG R-7 glasses working together, customers will benefit from enhanced video collaboration and annotation and task flow capabilities found in AiR Suite. This is proving to provide market participants more solutions that have the functionality to improve business unit profit/loss statements and ultimately the top and bottom-lines for their corporations.
