AT&T and Aira are developing and testing a solution designed to help blind or partially sighted people manage their prescription medication. The new recognition solution uses “Hey Chloe”, Aira’s new AI platform, to correctly identify prescriptions and over-the-counter medications.
The technology will be available for use in conjunction with Aira’s Horizon smart glasses. Launched in May, Horizon has built-in “Hey Chloe” functionality and comes with an Aira-dedicated smartphone from AT&T, opening up the technology for the 58% of US seniors who do not currently own a smartphone.
