Asustek To Invest in Chinese eSports

Unconfirmed Taiwanese sources report that Asustek is to spend $16 million to set up a subsidiary in China to exploit the eSports opportunity in the region. Activities will include setting up an eSport team, the Rogue Warriors. The hope is that there will be an effect from the business by Q2 and will include all the products under the Republic of Gamers (ROG) sub-brand.

The move is seen as part of a stronger shift to the gaming market for Asustek overall.
