At the recent Computex show, Asus showed a number of new PCs.
the ZenBook Flip S UX370, claimed as the thinnest convertible PC at 10.9mm and with a weight of 1.1 kg. It has four modes – laptop; tent; presentation and tablet. The machine has a 13.3″ UltraHD display with touch and the CPU is an Intel seventh generation Core i7-7500 processor with integrated graphics. It can be used with a Stylus and that supports Windows Ink.
The ZenBook 3 Deluxe (UX490) has a 14″ display and is also said to be the thinnest in its class. It is 12.9mm thick and fits the display into a ‘13.3″ footprint’. The dual USB Type-C connectors support Thunderbolt 3 and the PC uses a Core i7 H series processor with 16GB of DRAM. Pricing is from $1,199.
The ZenBook Pro has the same processor and RAM along with GTX 1050 graphics driving a 15.6″ UltraHD display with NanoEdge. It is 18.9mm thick and weighs 1.8 kg. Pricing is from $1,299.
The VivoBook Pro S15 (N580) has the same specifications but the UltraHD display supports 100% of sRGB. There is a single USB Type-C port and pricing is from $799. Weight is 2.2 kg.
VivoBook S is a lower cost device that starts at $499. It has a Core i7 processor and Nvidia GeForce 940MX graphics as well as 512GB of SSD and a HDD.
