Malaysia’s first live Ultra HD broadcast has taken place. Media company Astro is showcasing live Premier League at branches of its partner food-and-beverage outlet Souled Out all over the country.
Both the number of matches and the number of available locations are expected to grow over the coming weeks as other food-and-beverage and retail partners sign on to the broadcast programme. Sharp Aquous and Samsung QLED UHD TVs are being used to display the matches.
Astro’s Chief of Sports, Lee Choong Khay, added, “Besides Premier League, we will also bring Formula One racing events and blockbuster movies in UHD”.
