What They Say
The Institute of Mechanical Engineers quoted a report from the PWC consultancy that forecasts that AR & VR could add $1.5 trillion to global GDP by 2030. The report can be downloaded at no cost here and there is also an interactive data tool that shows the detail online. The report includes some AR apps that use QR codes to pop-up animated video of the pictured speakers talking.
What We Think
The first of the AR experiences in the brochure was quite cool, but I had trouble with the second. The forecast may well be useful if you are looking for data to back an investment case, especially if it is in a specific vertical application. (BR)
