ARInsider has ‘finally’ got to try a pair of Snap spectacles with AR functions, under the supervision of Snap. They are not yet available for sale.
The blog said that they are ‘halfway stylish’, but has very low battery life of 30 minutes. Brightness is reported to be 2,000 cd/m² and the glasses are described as ‘feeling sturdy’ but are not ‘onerously heavy’.
What We Think
The report is light on technical or image quality comments. However, the basic specs were outlined 10 months ago here. At the moment, Snap is focussing on creators and getting them to develop ‘Lenses’ which are a key feature of Snap to augment images shown on mobile devices. (BR)
