Aalto University in Finland is putting augmented reality to a new use: on a climbing wall. The wall operates as a huge touch screen, combining body tracking and custom computer vision software, depth cameras and projected graphics. Climbing walls are, of course, focused on moving upwards. This augmented wall adds challenges such as avoiding moving objects, timing moves and going in different directions.
