We loved a story that was in the press in Asia that said that Apple has ‘secretly’ visited AUO and Epistar in Taiwan to talk about and check on the progress of the development of microLEDs. The visit was part of a trip to visit Touch Taiwan. The reports say that Epistar has developed 400 micron miniLEDs and 250 micron packages and sshowed these at Touch Taiwan.

Not much of a secret! There has been a noticeable reduction in Apple’s ability to keep things secret in the last couple of years – assuming that the ‘leaks’ are actually not being carefully managed by the company for its own reasons. (BR)
