Apple’s Siri Loses Some Traction

Despite the general increase in the use of voice-activated personal assistants, Verto Analytics has reported that Apple’s Siri system has lost 7.3 million monthly users in the last year, dropping down to 41.4 million users from 48.7 million in May 2016. On the other hand, Amazon has seen users going up from 800,000 to 2,300,000. Amazon is reported by engadget to be developing a smaller version of its Echo system, closer to the design of the Apple HomePod, although it is expected to stay at a lower price than the Apple device’s $349.
