Apple’s OLED Capacity Will Take Half of G6 Equipment Orders

UBI Research has predicted that Apple’s rumoured adoption of OLED technology in the next iPhone will lead to $13 billion of production equipment orders by 2020. The firm estimates that Apple’s orders will take up 47% of global equipment market for G6 fabs ($28.5 billion over the next five years). This is under the assumption that Apple will launch an OLED iPhone in 2017 and switch to OLED on all of its phones in 2018.
