Apple’s AR/VR headset will reportedly begin mass production in March.

What They Say

Digitimes said that its sources have ‘hinted’ that Apple’s new headset will be made exclusively by Pegatron with planned sales of 750K units in 2023 and with production starting at the end of the quarter. Separately, Mark Gurman of Bloomberg has said that it will have the Apple M2 chip, 10 cameras and “the highest-resolution displays ever featured in a mass-market headset”. Gurman also speculates on software and features that Apple is developing, based on job adverts by Apple and changes in its management team.

What We Think

Other reports have suggested that the launch is moving back although last month, DSCC said that it was still expecting to see the product in the second half of next year.  (BR)
