US and Asian sources have reported on three new iPads due from Apple in 2017. These are forecast to be a 9.7″, 10.5″ and a Pro version at 12.9″. Production may start on the smallest in the first quarter, but in the second for the others, although US sources suggest a launch in the second half of the year. The 9.7″ may be targeted at education users. The largest two tablets are expected to use versions of the A10X processor, used in the latest iPhones.
