Leaked emails from Sony show that Apple has been licensing the company’s UltraHD content for testing purposes since 2013. Although not earth-shattering, it does show that Apple is interested in the format – which is still not supported on the Apple TV STB. In fact, only the 5k iMac supports resolutions up to or above UltraHD.
