AOC has two new VA monitors the C27G3U (27″ ) and C32G2AE (31.5″) that support 165Hz refresh but just FullHD resolution. However, the curved monitors have a radius of 1000mm (1000R).
What We Think
Apart from the relatively tight curve, there is little exceptional about these monitors. I don’t maintain a detailed database of monitors any more, so can’t be certain, but I think that only Samsung has released 1000R curved monitors so far, in office and gaming. The AOC monitors have only FullHD, which highlights the challenge in making good monitors with this tight curve. This week AOC said that it would now call its Agon gaming line Agon by AOC and it announced a 360Hz gaming monitor (AGON by AOC Announces its Fastest Gaming Monitor (BR)
