Anoto Group AB is to acquire digital pen maker Livescribe. Livescribe will act as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Anoto when the deal is closed, expected to happen later this month.
The deal will be used to broaden Anoto’s product portfolio, extend its business into the consumer market and retail distribution and add a digital note-taking solution.
Anoto’s dot pattern technology is used in Panasonic’s UltraHD tablet series.
