The number of Pay TV content providers that are delivering Ultra HD content via SES in the US has now reached a total of 30, with a combined audience of more than 10 million subscribers.
Among the nine providers that have signed a trial deal with SES is national telecom company Hotwire Communications. Jonathan Bullock, Vice President of Corporate Development and Government at Hotwire said,
“Hotwire is well positioned to be the first to market with exciting new Ultra HD services later this year, as a result of our Ultra HD trials with SES.
The SES Ultra HD platform is easy and fast to deploy on our all-fiber network, allowing us to provide the best 4K channel line-up virtually overnight”.
The SES Ultra HD content delivery platform is claimed to feature the largest line-up of UHD channels anywhere in the world.
