Android 7.0 Update for Sony 2015 and 2016 TVs Out in Europe

The long-awaited Android 7.0 upgrade for Sony’s 2015 and 2016 TVs recently landed in the US and is also now finally available for users in Europe, bringing support for Chromecast 4K, multiple Google accounts, HLG HDR and picture-in-picture, as well as other performance upgrades and bug fixes. The update has been available for late-2016 and newer Sony TVs since May 2017, but was postponed for older models.

The update was launched on March 14th and will roll out gradually throughout the spring.

Although some users have grumbled about the delay in rolling out the upgrade, the idea of being able to upgrade your TV after purchase without charge still seems pretty cool to me! (BR)
