UK-based set top box manufacturer and internet TV technology provider, Amino, has signed an agreement to acquire cloud TV firm, Entone, for a total consideration of $73 million.
Amino provides digital entertainment solutions for IPTV, OTT and in-home multimedia distribution, which the company says is highly complementary with Entone’s broadcast hybrid TV and connected home solutions. The acquisition will enable Amino to increase its global scale and broaden its capabilities.
The deal is expected to close in the third quarter of 2015, subject to customary closing conditions and approvals.
