Amazon and Best Buy Announce Fire Smart TV Partnership

Amazon and Best Buy have announced a collaboration to bring the next generation of Fire TV Edition smart TVs to customers in the US and Canada. Best Buy will launch more than ten Ultra HD and HD Fire TV Edition models from Toshiba and Insignia, starting this summer.

The newly-designed smart TVs come with the Fire TV experience built in, bringing together live, over-the-air TV and streaming content in one location. The TVs will also incorporate Alexa voice control, allowing users to search for and watch broadcast TV, or choose from the catalogue of streaming TV episodes and movies from Netflix, Prime Video, HBO, PlayStation Vue, Hulu and others, as well as launching apps, switching inputs, playing music or controlling smart home devices. Fire TV Edition smart TVs can also be paired with Amazon Echo.

Element launched the first wave of Fire TV Edition smart TVs last year.
