The German government has withdrawn approval for the sale of Aixtron (Aixtron Accepts Chinese Offer), which makes equipment for OLED and semiconductor production, and that is causing friction with the Chinese government who have publicly complained about a rise in ‘protectionist tendencies’ in Germany. German politicians are concerned about an imbalance and lack of reciprocity in relations over investment although Aixtron did not offer any reason for the withdrawal.
