Acer Group announced its Q3 FY16 results with consolidated sales of NT$58.6 bn ($1.9bn) and net profit of NT$249.0 mn($7.9mn), resulting in a net profit margin of 0.4%. While the Q3 FY16 sales were up 4.3% from previous quarter’s sales of NT$56.2 bn ($1.7 bn), the net profit dropped by 48% from previous quarter’s NT$538.0 mn ($16.6 mn).
For the first 9 months of FY16, the sales figure of NT$171.7 bn ($5.5 bn) had dropped by 12.4% as compared to last year’s similar sales figure of NT$195.4 bn ($6.2 bn). However, the net profit margin had increased from 0.4% in 2015 to 0.7% in 2016, both for first nine months of the year. Thus, the management was pleased with the profitability being maintained through the tough transition phase of the company.
