Accedo has launched a targeted advertising solution for AR experiences with the API integration of Amazon Web Services (AWS) Elemental MediaTailor.
Powered by the Accedo One video platform, it’s designed to provide a more personalised and engaging second-screen experience during long-distance sports events such as marathons, rally or bicycle races.
AWS Elemental MediaTailor is a cloud-based video service that lets customers insert targeted advertising into video streams without sacrificing broadcast-level quality-of-service. Viewers of live or on-demand video each receive a stream that combines content with ads personalised to them.
The integration allows video service providers, brands and broadcasters to monetise content with targeted advertising in the AR environment. It also addresses the technical challenges associated with AR device fragmentation, live video synchronisation and other information elements.
This means video providers can augment live broadcasts with additional information or experiences, including adding extremely targeted advertising within the AR environment.
Accedo will demonstrate its AR experience and integration with AWS Elemental MediaTailor on the Accedo stand at this year’s IBC conference, which takes place in Amsterdam from September 13th – 18th.
