Aaxa claims that its new M4 Portable Projector is the world’s brightest battery-powered unit to-date. Using a 28W lithium ion battery, the DLP projector will run for 90 minutes on a single charge at 400 lumens (800 lumens on mains power). According to the company, this is more than three times as bright as comparable products.
A media player and DTV tuner (US market) are built in to the projector, so it can playback video, images and music. Two 2W speakers support this function. Content can be sent to the projector via HDMI, VGA, composite or USB connections.
The M4 has 1280 x 800 resolution and uses an LED light source, lasting for 20,000 hours. Contrast ratio is 2,000:1, with a manual focus and automatic vertical keystone correction. A 15″ – 150″ image can be thrown.
Dimensions are 210.8 x 134.6 x 78.7mm. The M4 weighs 1.1kg. It is available now for $600.
