OLED-Info summarised the talk by Kyulux at the SID/DSCC Business Conference at Display Week. Junji Adachi from the firm said that it is on track to commericalise its materials with green going into pilot testing in Q3 2022 and expected to be in mass production by the second half of 2023 for smartphones. Red will follow by early 2024 and the firm hopes to have it in production by the end of 2024, with material testing starting at the end of this year.
Kyulux is optimistic that its Hyperfluorescent materials will have advantages in FWHM and EQE over phosphorescent materials.
What We Think
Things are really hotting up and OLED is ‘on a roll’ with the success in making QD-OLED and the improvements in WOLED. The material advances will only add to that feeling. (BR)
