What They Say
The 8K Association also looked at the TVs that Hisense showed at CES as well as its new SoC (Hisense Fills In 8K TV SOC Details). The company is not planning to bring its new 85″ 8K display to the US this year.
Of interest to us was that Chris Chinnock had a look at the firm’s UST projectors including a prototype 8K version that was shown as a longer throw version, with a UST version on release. It will have 4000 Ansi lumens of output and will use an ultraHD DLP chip with three lasers and with image shifting to achieve the higher resolution. It will be released in China first with a US launch perhaps in 2023.
