The brightness of the set is 750 cd/m² in normal mode and 1200 cd/m² in HDR mode. Inputs include 3 HDMI 2.1 ports, a single DisplayPort 1.4 and a USB Type-C with 65W of PD. The set has support for HDMI-CEC remote facilities.

Power consumption is 95.3W (typical).

The set will be available in August at a UK price of £1.199 ($1,395 + tax)

What We Think

Philips has been promoting larger sized sets for console gaming for three years. Although ‘designed for XBox’, no specific details were given of specification differences or modifications, so looks likely to have been just an issue of marketing and testing. However, we have reached out to the firm to get details of any changes.

Separately, Philips said that it has seen data from DMR AS that shows that Philips TVs have a 36% share in the professional TV market in the Nordics. It claims that sales of its MediaSuite hospitality TVs have reached 110,000. (BR)
