What They Say
Prad.de reported that Acer has introduced a new 38″ 21:9 3840 x 1600 resolution curved monitor that should be great for gamers as it supports 175Hz refresh, 0.3ms response (G2G), 98% of DCI-P3 and supporting DisplayHDR-600 certification. It has a Delta-E value of less than 2 (up from 1 quoted when the monitor was announced at CES). It has what Acer calls an ‘Agile Splendor IPS’ panel (which seems to be LG’s nano IPS) and G-Sync Ultimate.
Pricing is €2199 and the monitor will be available in September.
What We Think
I must get around to trying a 38″. I was surprised to see how good a 34″ was as a replacement for my beloved 32″ UltraHD monitor, despite the lower resolution. The 38″ gets nearer to it and LG sent me its only review model a couple of years ago, but it was broken when it arrived. Perhaps I’ll try this one if I can get hold of one when it’s available. (BR)
