Apple TV+ Moves onto Google TV Platforms

Google has announced that the Apple TV+ streaming service is now available on Google TV, with the first implementation on Chromecast with Google TV. The service will become available later on TCL and Sony Android-based TVs. Apple Originals content in the personal recommendation engine.

TechCrunch reports that the AppleTV+ is now available on Roku and Amazon Fire TV platforms, Smart TVs from Samsung, LG, Vizio and Sony and Playstation and XBox consoles.

What We Think

Apple doesn’t release numbers for its subscribers, but estimates are that the firm has 40 million or so. However, even that number includes that have free subscriptions, acquired with a new item of Apple hardware, such as an iPhone, Mac or iPad. Disney+, on the other hand has got over 86 million subscriptions. (BR)
