Chassis Plans of San Diego, Ca, USA, has introduced a new double 24″, side-by-side rugged display that can fold into a 2U 19″ rack. The company said that the displays are being used by the US Navy’s next generation Littoral Combat Ships (LCS) are now using it in their onboard testing stations. It can also be used in a deployable transit case. The monitor is built to meet or exceed Mil-Std-810G
The monitors are based on 1920 x 1200 (16:10) format IPS LCD panels with 300 cd/m² and 1,000:1 contrast with 14ms. The body is made of 5052-H32 aluminum alloy w/ milled front panel and the case has all stainless steel hardware with self-locking fasteners. There is also a version with a bonded vandal shield. Inputs are VGA, DVI and HDMI or composite and S-Video. There are a range of power options.
