The BBC, a UK rights holder for this year’s FIFA World Cup, will stream its 33 licensed matches in VR via a special app designed for the occasion. The “BBC Sport VR – FIFA World Cup Russia 2018” app will be available for Gear VR, Google Cardboard, Oculus Go and PlayStation VR.
An exact release date hasn’t been announced, but is believed to be around the same time as the first match takes place on June 14th. The app includes features like pop-up match stats, a selection of camera angles, daily highlights and on-demand content.
