Japan Display Inc (JDI) has developed a new 3.25″ LCD with 1001 ppi for VR applications, a boost from the previous 803 ppi panel. The resolution of the display is 2160 x 2422 and the response time is 2.2ms (worst case – grey to grey). The refresh rate is 120Hz. The higher resolution reduces the screen door effect.
The display will be shown at the forthcoming SID Display Week show (we have our appointement booked!)
