Christie has added to its Extreme range of video wall displays with the FHD493-XE 49″ narrow bezel display which has a 1.8mm combined bezel width. Christie said that the panels are pre-calibrated with ‘advanced panel matching’ which makes set up and installation quicker. The monitor also has Smart Light Control for consistent performance over the lifetime of the unit. The monitor uses a direct-lit FullHD IPS panel with 500 cd/m² of output and 1,300:1 contrast. The monitor has 10 bit support and colour support is 72%, based on CIE 1931.
Inputs are dual HDMI, DisplayPort (1.2), DVI-D and VGA and the digital inputs can all support daisychaining, with an internal processor for walls of up to 4 x 4 configuration. Features include an OPS slot and support of MST over DisplayPort for up to four panels. The panels are rated for 24/7 operation in landscape or portrait mode and comes with a three year warranty. It is available with an optional remote power facility via an external AC-DC hot swappable supply module.
The new unit will be available in July 2018.
