A few weeks ago, we missed an announcement by HP – apologies. The company announced two new notebooks for healthcare and a monitor for clinical review applications. All three are approved to N/IEC 60601-1-2:2015 standards
The notebooks are the HP EliteBook 840 G5 Healthcare Edition which has features including support for HP Easy Clean software which allows germicidal wipes to be used when the PC is powered up. The device has RFID for badge-based login and biometrics for sign-on. The display is an IPS LCD with 14″ diagonal and FullHD resolution. It has 700 cd/m² of output and is touch-enabled. It is protected by Gorilla Glass 3. The PC uses a range of processors including 7th and 8th Generation Intel Core i5 and i7 options with up to 32GB of DRAM and up to 512GB of SSD. Connectivity includes USB Type-C.
The HP EliteOne 800 G4 23.8 Healthcare Edition AiO has a 23.8″ FullHD IPS LCD and the PC has a 7th Generation Core i5 processor with 8GB of memory and an HDD of 1TB.
The monitor is the HP Healthcare Edition HC270cr Clinical Review Display which has a 27″ 2560 x 1440 resolution AHVA (AUO’s IPS variant) LCD with output of 350 cd/m². The monitor has support for the DICOM Part 14 curve and includes features including USB Type-C with up to 65W of power delivery. Other inputs are HDMI, DisplayPort and VGA. The monitor also includes an RGB webcam and ir camera for facial recognition. It is certified for Skype for Business and the monitor integrates a dual-band RFID card reader that supports single sign-on authentication with Imprivata, Caradigm, and Healthcast.
