The 2018 edition of Audi’s A8 luxury car will feature even more OLED technology in the shape of a rear-seat remote, which includes a 5.7″ 1080p AMOLED display from Samsung. The company claims that the remote marks the first use of an AMOLED display in a production-level automobile.
The Audi A7 Sportback also has dual touch displays in the centre console. The 10.1″ and 8.1″ displays have haptic and touch facilities and Audi has modelled the click response to be similar to hardware switches used in the past. The system responds to voice as well as touch.

I’ve long argued that it was the range of sensors integrated into smartphones that were a key enabler of the market, so I was intrigued to see that the Audi A7 Sportback can be configured with up to 24 sensors – including a laser scanner and long-range radar in the front; four mid-range radars on the corners; an infrared camera on the front; another front camera at the top of the windshield; four 360-degree cameras and 12 ultrasonic sensors.
