The Nokia brand always attracts attention at the show and is licensed by HMD Global for smartphones. The company captured a lot of attention last year with a new feature phone and it got some attention this time.
The Nokia 6 is a new smartphone based on Android Oreo and a Snapdragon 30 with a 5.5″ FullHD (16:9) IPS LCD display with Gorilla Glass 3. It has 3 or 4 GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB of storage. There is a 16mp camera with Zeiss optics on the rear and 8mp on the front. The phone has support for Android One – so no special shells, but a full Android implementation (unlike the lower power Android Go variant).
The Nokia 8 Sirocco is expected to ship in April and has a flexible OLED display of 1440 x 256 (16:9) with Gorilla Glass 5 on the front and back. The processor is a Snapdragon 835 with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The phone has dual 12MP cameras with 2X optical zoom and there is a 5mp (f1.4) for selfies. Video capture is at up to 2160p30.
Finally, Nokia showed the 8110 4G which is a feature phone that is curved and uses a small 2.4″ 240 x 320 resolution. It is expected to ship in May at around €79.
