Unconfirmed reports coming out of Taiwan have claimed that Compal is planning a comeback to the desktop PC market this year, from its position as the world’s number two notebook ODM.
The company’s president, Ray Chen, reportedly stated that the company will begin to make waves in the sector in 2019, with annual shipment projections of 1.5-2 million units. Compal currently supplies notebooks to a range of companies including Acer, Lenovo, Dell, Toshiba, Hewlett-Packard and Fujitsu.
