DTS and a subsidiary of Xperi Corporation have announced the integration of DTS Virtual:X post-processing technology in a range of MStar Semiconductor’s Smart TV system-on-chip platforms. Televisions with DTS Virtual:X technology are expected to be available in early 2018.
DTS Virtual:X technology supports any input source from stereo to a 7.1.4 layout and has been designed to work with all DTS codecs, including the flagship DTS:X. For legacy content, an upmixer is included.
