Google Assistant is now available on all 2017 and select 2016 Sony Android TVs.

Consumers can control their TVs, search for content or ask questions in a similar fashion to Siri and Alexa using Google Assistant. The addition of Google Assistant to Sony TVs is part of the company’s ongoing “smart home” strategy.
Sony’s implementation of Google Assistant control requires a button press via the TV’s remote to activate, as opposed to the voice activation used by other manufacturers. Sony TV owners wanting full hands-free control will need to put a Google Home speaker on their wishlist.
