Panasonic has added two large interactive displays to its range that are intended to be more affordable for education, so have infrared touch systems. The 75″ UltraGD direct-lit VA LCD panel (TH-75BQE1) and 65″ FullHD direct-LCD panel (TH-65BFE1) are compatible with Panasonic’s Whiteboard Software when connected to a PC via USB and HDMI or VGA. They support 10 point touch and are fitted with a ‘shatterproof’ film and have 400 cd/m² of output. There is also a USB-based media viewer.
Inputs include VGA, DVI and HDMI and audio is supported with dual speakers, 10W per channel on the larger set and 8W on the smaller one.
The monitors were previewed at ISE earlier this year and will be available ‘in the autumn’.
