Orbotech will be providing LCD panel manufacturer CEC Panda with $40 million worth of inspection, testing and repair solutions for the company’s next-generation fabrication facility in Chengdu, China.
As part of the deal, Orbotech will provide CEC Panda with its Quantum, ArrayChecker and ProcessSaver tools amongst others, with delivery expected during Q3 2017.
CEC Panda estimates a maximum monthly production capacity of 60,000 substrats during the first phase of mass production at the new facility.
