Kent Display Defends its Patent Position

Kent Display which is making its cholesteric LCD displays in a R2R process in the USA has successfully defended its IP with a case brought to the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) and is also pursuing other avenues including federal courts and take downs of infringing goods. From the press release it seems that this action indicates an increase in companies trying to copy their most successful product, the Boogie Board. The press release does not mention any specific company as the target of Kent’s legal action and can be seen as a warning for potential infringing companies. (NH)
