Sky Arts in the UK is to broadcast UltraHD content from the Isle of Wight Festival, claiming that this will be the first major UK music festival in this format. Viewers with the Sky Q box will be able to access four hours of UltraHD content every evening, with headline acts including David Guetta, Rod Stewart, Run DMC and Arcade Fire.

This story took me back. It’s close to 50 years since I saw Jimi Hendrix and the Who, among many others, at one of the first Isle of Wight festivals! Amazingly, the PA system at the original event was but a single KW and was augmented by the similar sized system from the Who. All the speakers were just 12″ columns, I think. That level of power is in plenty of living rooms, these days!(BR)
