Spin Digital of Berlin, Germany, said that it would show a new HEVC/H.265 video player and SDK at NAB that supports decoding up to 8KP120 formats with 4:2:2, 4:4:4 and RGB colour up to 12 bit. The video rendering engine has GPU and SDI output and support for 10 bit rendering with HDR.
The company also has an encoder with CBR rate control and pre-processing filters including new VR (360°) video projection formats.
The plan is to show 8KP120 and the company has previously shown 8KP60 content, with Elsa Japan, at the GPU Tech Conference in Japan in October. The company has a comparison of other PC technologies.
