ETNews in Korea has said that Samsung will adopt a new ‘recipe’ for OLED materials in 2017, moving to the ‘M8’ formulation. That will mean that Dow and Samsung SDI will be replaced by Duksan Neolux and NSSMC for host materials in red and green, respectively.
There are widespread reports that Samsung will adopt a ‘full face’ OLED design.
Analyst Comment
IHS told us that Samsung has updated its recipe every year, except 2016, when it stayed with the 2015 M7 formulation. (BR)
