ETNews from Korea said that the touch panel in the Apple MacBook Pro, released last week (Apple Event Introduces New Mac Book Pro), is an OLED, as we expected, and is made by Samsung as a ‘rigid’ type, produced on Samsung’s A2 production line, while the driver chip came from Samsung’s LSI division and has special functions to integrate and link the touch pad and keyboard. The very thin form factor of the OLED was a key attraction and Apple is said to be trying to promote the use of OLEDs.
