Vivitek has expanded its Qumi Series of pocket projectors with the introduction of the Qumi Q3 Plus, an ultra-portable LED smart projector with Android designed to provide entertainment on the go.
The projector offers Wi-Fi connectivity and PC-free access to multimedia content. It weighs 460 grams and is rated to produce images of up to 100” diagonal with HD720p resolution, 500 lumen brightness and 5,000:1 contrast, with automatic keystone correction. It has a lifetime of 30,000 hours from its LED light-source and it has a 1.5GHz quad-core CPU running the Android v.4.42 OS. The built-in 8,000mAh rechargeable battery is claimed to deliver up to two hours of operation.
Content can be played from a USB drive, a microSD card or from its 8GB onboard memory. Wi-Fi connection to Android and iOS is supported. It has Bluetooth and dual 2W speakers, so can be used as a bluetooth speaker system or can communicate with a home system.
The Qumi Q3 Plus will be available in white, black, red and gold from September 2016 at a list price in the UK of £429 inc VAT.
